Job Description

FEMTOPRINT SA is a Swiss company established in 2013, specializing in the manufacturing of high-precision 3D micro-devices in glass. Thanks to its innovative FEMTOPRINT® technology, it provides customers worldwide with development, rapid prototyping, and volumes manufacturing services. For the North American market, we are looking for a Sales Manager who will be responsible for the Optics & Photonics business. Customers include hardware manufacturers in the fiber optics, optical connectivity, lasers, optics, silicon photoncis and interconnectors domains.

Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key activities:

  • Expanding the business and market presence within the Optics & Photonics market in North America, with strong ties to the semicon, space, telecom and datacenter industries.
  • Bringing a portfolio of new leads and developing a solid network of Customers in North America, with local and global operations.
  • Increasing the commercial traction of outstanding Customers and generate recurring revenues in the target segments.
  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies by means of KPI’s and a business plan, to achieve the desired targets and develop new market segments and product lines.
  • Supporting the department head with regular reporting, sales analysis and forecasts, budgeting, and to continuously improving the commercial strategy of the company.
  • Identifying Client’s needs and providing technical solutions in accordance with the Engineering team.
  • Supporting the preparation of project proposals, and developing commercial offers, R&D and supply agreements within the assigned product lines, markets and territory.
  • Supporting the CTO, CCO and BD O&P with regular market analysis and monitoring trends, technologies, products and competition, with the aim of continuously strengthening our positioning and offer.
  • Creating and maintaining outstanding relationships with internal stakeholders and Customers.
  • Preparing, developing and executing the marketing budget for the assigned sector and territory, the marcom strategies and correspondent activities, with the support of the Marketing team.
  • Planning, coordinating and participating in trade fairs and events.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, Optics, Photonics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
  • Knowledge of Italian, German, and French would be considered an advantage.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in B2B sales within high-tech industries.
  • Strong background in technical sales in the Optics & Photonics domain.
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing, microfabrication, and/or glass processing technologies.
